Nakhon Si Thammarat, a province located at Southern Thailand – the Thailand team recently met up with a group of students from the Science Program in Marine and Coastal Resources at Walailak University’s School of Engineering and Resources.
The students are well-versed in GIS and Remote Sensing and are keen to learn more from us on making a good map.During the sharing session, we spoke about HERE WeGo and shared some tips on using the app. Naturally, we also introduced our HERE Expert Community Program to the students and encouraged them to join the community to contribute and build their local map.
We also trained the students to use Map Creator and engage them in group activities to familiarize themselves with the use of Map Creator. It was filled with fun and laughter as the students try to gather information from websites, some of them even called home to ask their family members!
The students presented their ideas on how they can go about contributing edits and we are glad to share our knowledge on map making and how they can contribute to updated map for their community.
